A procedure in which we use rotary instruments to remove infected or dead tissue from inside the tooth.
Benefits
We save the tooth from further decay.
How to recognise a “granuloma”
A granuloma is a chronic inflammation at the tip of the tooth root that develops as a result of an untreated infection of the dental nerve.
Occasional spontaneous pain in the tooth, pain on biting, and a white swelling on the gum from which the inflammation drains.
How the procedure works
The procedure is carried out under local anaesthetic, during which we clean the root canals using rotary files.
After the procedure
Mild sensitivity is possible for up to three days after the procedure.
