If you have lost several teeth or have an old, ill-fitting denture, you have probably already heard of All-on-4 or All-on-6. It is a revolutionary implant method that allows a full jaw rehabilitation with fixed teeth in 24 hours.
Quick answer: what is All-on-4 / All-on-6?
All-on-4 is an implant method for replacing all the teeth in one jaw using just 4 (or 6) dental implants, onto which a fixed dental bridge is attached.
Advantages:
- Fixed teeth in just 24 hours (provisional prosthetics)
- A solution for the whole jaw without a removable denture
- Fewer implants = lower cost than with 8–10 implants
- Sometimes a sinus lift can be avoided with tilted implants
- A lifespan of 20+ years
Price at Koderman:
- All-on-4: 5,500 € / jaw
- All-on-6: 6,500 € / jaw
What is All-on-4?
The All-on-4 method was developed by the Portuguese implantologist Paulo Maló in the early 1990s. The idea: 4 implants are enough for a stable fixed bridge across the whole jaw.
Instead of placing 8–10 individual implants (one for each tooth), with All-on-4 we place just 4 strategically positioned implants:
- 2 front implants vertically
- 2 rear implants tilted at an angle of 30–45°
Onto these 4 implants we attach a single dental bridge with 10–12 teeth that replaces the entire jaw.
What is All-on-6?
All-on-6 is a variation of the same method — instead of 4 implants we use 6 implants for even greater stability.
Recommended when:
- The quality of the jawbone is poorer
- There are stronger mechanical loads
- A long-term solution is wanted — more implants = more „reserve"
- More secure integration is needed where bone quality is poorer

1. Consultation and 3D planning (1–2 weeks)
A free first consultation, a clinical examination and 3D CBCT imaging. Based on the image I plan the exact position of the implants.
2. The day of the procedure (1 day)
Placement of 4 or 6 implants under local anaesthetic (60–120 min). If needed, extraction of the remaining teeth in the same session. On the same day or the next day you receive a provisional fixed bridge with attractive teeth.
3. Osseointegration (3 months)
The implants fuse with the bone. During this time you wear the provisional bridge — you can live, speak and eat normally (soft food for the first 2 weeks, then everything).
4. Final prosthetics (1–2 weeks)
After 3 months we make the final prosthetics — durability 20+ years. Material: zirconium or ceramic.
5. Maintenance (lifelong)
An annual check-up + regular cleaning. With proper care, implants last for decades.

Frequently asked questions
How long do All-on-4 implants last?
With proper care, 20+ years. Documented cases reach 40+ years.
Does placement hurt?
No. The procedure is carried out under local anaesthetic... After the procedure, a mild pressure sensation for 2–3 days, manageable with Lekadol.
Can I eat the very next day?
With the provisional prosthetics you can eat soft food straight away (soups, eggs, soft fish; for harder food you have to wait). After three months, with the final prosthetics, you eat everything.
Does the ZZZS (Slovenian national health insurance) cover anything?
No. All-on-4 and All-on-6 are self-pay services.
Can I sleep during the procedure?
Classically no (local anaesthetic = the patient is awake). With added sedation, however, you are so relaxed that you barely remember the procedure.
Who is the better candidate: All-on-4 or All-on-6?
The decision is based on 3D CT imaging of the bone. At the consultation I give you a precise recommendation.
What is the difference between Koderman's All-on-4 and those abroad?
At Koderman we use the same premium implants... The difference lies in accessibility for follow-up.
